The Annual May Day event in Belfast provided the EURES advice worker with an opportunity to promote the EURES service to a brand new audience. Many of whom had never heard of EURES previously. Current students of the English classes invited family and friends to join an event in Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre to share with each other how May Day is celebrated in different countries. A number of the students then joined the May Day March, most for the first time ever.
