Successful EURES Cross Border Seminar for SME's
The EURES Cross Border Partnership held a very successful Lunch time Seminar on Employment Incentives and Supports available for SME’s in the Cross Border Region on Thursday the 9th March in Bellingham Castle with in excess of 110 delegates in attendance. There was a number of speakers in attendance including Stephen Hanna, Cross Border EURES Adviser from the Dept. of Protection, Brenda McGeeney, EURES Cross-Border Adviser Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, Brian Hamilton from the Dept. for Communities, Grant Gilmore from InterTrade Ireland and Thomas McEvoy of Local Enterprise Office Louth. The presentations of the various speakers can be downloaded from www.dundalk.ie. Most importantly Elizabeth Mathers, Customer Contact Centre Manager for Sales Sense, an SME based in the Cross Border Region, shared her very positive experience of working with EURES, particularly Stephen Hanna, whose role is integrated into Employer Engagement Services in the Department of Social Protection the region.
Michael Gaynor President Dundalk Chamber was delighted with the attendance and stated that the varied selection of speakers on board was fantastic and helped to increase the awareness of what supports are out there for SME’s in the Cross Border Region.
This is just one of many EURES Cross Border events that Dundalk Chamber of Commerce has hosted in the last few years with more planned for the future. For more information on EURES log on to www.eurescrossborder.eu or contact Brenda McGeeney EURES Adviser at brenda@dundalk.ie
